• • Certification training and assessment for Plan Year 2026 is now open and must be completed by October 17, 2025.
• Requirements to be a Get Covered Illinois-certified broker
  1. Maintain a license with the Illinois Department of Insurance with a health line of authority.
  2. Complete online training and score 80% on the post-training assessment.
  3. Sign the Get Covered Illinois User’s Agreement in the Learning Management System

  & Exam Instructions

  • Effective 8/18/2025, a regulatory change has been implemented, requiring all brokers on the individual marketplace to pass the MHBE Consumer Assistance Worker (CAW) Pre-Credentialing exam.   In order to remain authorized for the upcoming Open Enrollment period, all currently authorized brokers must also adhere to this requirement.

  • You should have received an email from directly from Adobe regarding Annual Training.  With the release of Annual Training, you must ALSO successfully pass the CAW exam in order to remain authorized on exchange.  

  • The due date for both the completion of Annual Training & the exam is 10/24/2025.  Exams will be offered twice weekly beginning 8/20 – Wednesdays 11a-12:30p and Thursdays 1p-2:30p.   You must register for each exam attempt in advance in Adobe LMS.

Please note:

• The exam is virtual.
• You must score 75% to pass.
• You may take up to 3 attempts at the exam, but all attempts must occur before 10/24/2025.
• If you do not take &/or successfully pass the exam before 10/24/2025, you will be suspended & will not be able to re-apply until after Open Enrollment. No broker applications can be submitted during Open Enrollment.
• If you take 3 attempts and do not successfully pass the exam, your authorization will be suspended and you cannot re-apply for one calendar year.
• Once you have successfully passed the exam, you will not need to take it again unless you have a lapse in authorization.
• There is an optional Pre-Credentialing Training Webinar which you must also preregister for in Adobe LMS. It is offered weekly.

This is in accordance with the regulations in the state of Maryland.
