BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina’s 2027 Medicare Advantage Agent Training curriculum is now available through the company’s online Learning Management System (LMS). Agents are required to complete the curriculum and pass a test to sell BlueCross Medicare Advantage plan products.

To be eligible to have access to the South Carolina BlueCross Medicare Advantage plans for 2027, you must have successfully completed your certification by October 1, 2026.

If you plan to only service your current BlueCross Medicare Advantage members and not sell any plans, you will have until 12/31/2026 to complete your 2027 certifications.

Certification Requirements:
In addition to completing the BlueCross curriculum, agents are required to successfully complete the 2027 Medicare + Fraud, Waste and Abuse training through America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) or National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP). 2027 Medicare Advantage Certification Training:

• The 2027 BlueCross curriculum covers:
  • HIPAA
  • Marketing guidelines
  • 2027 Marketing Compliance Agreement
  • 2027 Medicare products
• Agents must pass the BlueCross curriculum final test with a score of 85% or higher.
• Agents are limited to three (3) attempts to pass the test. Agents who do not pass the test within three (3) attempts will not be certified for 2027. Agents who do not pass on the first or second attempt should select the Retake button.
• Agents must pass the 2027 AHIP test with a score of 90% or higher or the 2027 NABIP test with a score of 85% or higher.
• During the BlueCross certification course, agents will be asked to attest that they have completed their AHIP or NABIP training to move forward in the course. If AHIP or NABIP has not been completed prior to taking the certification, it’s ok to attest, however, we will still need to get a copy of AHIP or NABIP completion before you are fully ready to sell.
• Agents must email a copy of their AHIP or NABIP certificate to agent.training@bcbssc.com.
• Agents cannot market, discuss, or enroll clients in our Medicare Advantage plan until they have completed both training courses.

Agents cannot market or discuss our 2027 plans until Oct. 1, 2026.

To access the LMS:
 If you have never used the Multifactor Authentication process to access Certifications on (LMS), please request the MFA instructions for LMS access from the Broker Line (1-877-374-9836) or your local Broker Manager then use the below steps.

• CLICK HERE to go to BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina’s website.
• Click Agents in the top right section of the homepage.
• Click Agents for Individual and Small Group Businesses (2-50 Lives).
• Locate the Tools and Resources section in the middle of the page.
• Click Learning Management System.
• Log into the LMS using the following information:
  • Log in Credential: your National Producer Number (NPN)
  • Password: Password you previously created
  • click Log In.
• Access your required training by clicking the Transcript button.
• Select the “Open Curriculum” button next to the AGT 2027 BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Medicare Advantage Curriculum.
• Once in the LMS Curriculum Player, follow the instructions to complete each required training module or attestation. When you are done, the “In Progress” bar will indicate 100% completion.

2027 Certification Process

For 2027, Peak Health has a dual certification process. Agents should complete their certification through Miramar, which will also provide visibility into their appointment status.

New for 2027: Agents will have the option to certify to sell our Peak Health Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) products. Agents who wish to sell D-SNP must complete the applicable D-SNP certification and product training requirements before becoming Ready-to-Sell for those plans.

Please make sure to complete all required certification and contracting steps through Miramar.

Ready-to-Sell (RTS) Requirement

To be Ready-to-Sell (RTS) for 2027, agents are required to attend a Peak Health product training.

The first 2027 product training rollout will be:

September 9, 2026
9:00 AM–11:00 AM EDT
The Erickson Alumni Center at WVU

• Access this program by going to https://miramar-agent.com/ and login with credentials
• At the top of the white space of the dashboard click on “Register New Program” and enter the pin code below
• Please ensure you clear all cache, close all tabs and windows and ensure you are using a browser listed below
• Please be sure to not close a window when taking certifications as that will count as an attempt and cause a fail

Logins are not carrier, plan or program specific. Returning users will use their existing username and password to access any additional programs needing completion
