Carrier Verification of the Federally Facilitated Marketplace and/or State-Based Exchange Certifications

Many carriers are requesting verification that the required training has been completed before letting agents assist clients with enrollment on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace and/or State-Based Exchanges.

Each carrier has a different process so make sure you pay close attention to the steps below and confirm that each carrier you are appointed with has everything that is needed regarding certification.

To assist agents with this, we have compiled the processes for several carriers below. Please note this information is subject to change.

Aetna

Must be licensed and appointed to sell Aetna Individual Products. There is no proof of completion of certification required at this time.

Agents should certify by going to www.ahipexchangetraining.com.

Anthem

Validation is completed online by logging in to Anthem’s Producer Toolkit. Once logged in, you will follow the path below:

  • Go to Manage Account
  • Go to Exchange Certification
  • Go to Edit Certifications
  • Go to Add Exchange Certification(s) and follow the instructions
  • Save

You will need to complete this process for each state as necessary.

Assurant

Assurant is not participating in the Federal Marketplace for 2014.

HumanaOne

You will register your FFM User ID with Humana by completing the Marketplace Certification Agent Verification Form.  Once you have the form completed, you will need to submit to Humana using one of the following methods:

Mail:  Humana Agent Verification, P O Box 14097, Lexington, KY 40512-4097.

Molina

Certificates are requested, but not required to become appointed.  Molina will verify certification before agents can order supplies. Agents can complete certification by going to  https://marketplace.medicarelearningnetworkLMS.com.

UnitedHealthOne (Golden Rule)

UnitedHealthOne is not participating in the Federal Marketplace for 2014.
